HR OB Impregnating Agent
OverviewIf the surface has previously (within the past 8 years) been treated with a solvent-based impregnating agent, you must use HR OB Impregnating Agent, which is a solvent-based impregnating product.
Suitable for impregnating both existing and new porous surfaces, such as fired brick, sand-lime brick, concrete, MBI concrete stone, plasterwork, and aerated concrete. HR OB Impregnating Agent is a widely sold solvent-based product with a durable effect lasting up to 10 years.
Instructions for Use:
- Remove loose parts like crumbled joints and brick flakes.
- Repair joints and cracks.
- Clean the surface to be treated with a high-pressure washer.
- Allow the surface to dry sufficiently (a minimum consumption of 0.5 L/m² applies).
- Adequately cover glass, window frames, roofing, plastics, etc.
- HR OB Impregnating Agent should be applied thoroughly with a low-pressure sprayer until the liquid runs off.
- When using a low-pressure sprayer, apply from top to bottom.
- Apply the product continuously without interruptions. Smaller areas can be treated with a brush, but the same quantity must be applied.
- The treated surface must be protected from heavy rain for at least 2 hours.
- Wind and strong sunlight can cause the solvent to evaporate too quickly, limiting penetration.
- The product can be applied to slightly damp surfaces.
Consumption Requirements:
- The minimum consumption should always be 0.5 L/m².
- If this is not achieved, a second treatment is required.
- Application temperature: +5°C to +25°C.
- Below +5°C, the solvent evaporates very slowly.
- The effect, depending on weather conditions, develops after 1.5 to 2 weeks.

- Brick: 1.0 L/m²
- Porous brick: 1.5 L/m²
- Sand-lime brick: 0.8 L/m²
- Aerated concrete: 1.0 L/m²
- Natural stone: 1.0 L/m²
- MBI concrete stone: 0.6 L/m²
